Funding Raised & Spent by InterAction Members
InterAction members responding to the earthquake in Haiti have raised at least $982 million in funding from private sources, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. Of that, an estimated $400 million will be dedicated to relief activities and $500 million for long-term development efforts. To date, more than $322 million of this privately raised funding has been spent by InterAction members in their efforts to respond to ongoing needs in Haiti. More information on how our community has responded to the earthquake is available in InterAction’s Haiti Accountability Report.
In addition to this private funding, InterAction members and affiliated organizations have received approximately $241 million from U.S. government agencies (USAID Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance, Haiti Earthquake, Fact Sheet #66).
